September

Jesse L has been named Community High School Student of the Month for September. This is Jesse’s first year at Community High School. The reason he came to CHS was because he moved to town, and his last alternative school had connections to Mr. Potter. Overall, the environment here at Community High is very friendly, the teachers are nice and helpful, and the principal is funny sometimes (makes great burgers on picnic days). After graduation, in October, Jesse will be leaving for Advanced Individual Training for the Army National Guard at Fort Gregg Adams, in Virginia. Then Jesse will be attending college for Cyber Security or Law. The faculty selects each Community High School Student of the Month based on academic progress, responsibility, study skills, citizenship, and personal growth.

Alyssa B has been named Community High School Student of the Month for December. This is Alyssa’s first year at Community High School. She decided to come to CHS because it is much quieter here and fewer people. Alyssa is on track to graduate this spring and after graduation she plans to go to college. She is very interested in baking. The faculty selects each Community High School Student of the Month., based on academic progress, responsibility, study skills, citizenship, and personal growth.

Taneah S has been named Community High School Student of the Month for October. Taneah is a middle child of a family of six. She came here because she needed a smaller environment. Her favorite food is pasta. Taneah plans to graduate in one week. After graduation and a gap year she plans to attend the police academy. Her favorite thing about Community is the teachers and everyone knows everybody. The faculty selects each Community High School Student of the Month based on academic progress, responsibility, study skills, citizenship, and personal growth.

Lexi L has been named Community High School Student of the Month for January. This is Lexi’s second year at Community High School. She likes the atmosphere where it’s quiet and everyone is nice, and you can work at your own pace. When she is not at school she hangs out at home with her family, plays games and plays with her dog (Sable) and a cat (Olaf). Lexi plans to graduate in May and after graduation, she is planning to go to M-State in Moorhead and pursue graphic design. The faculty selects each Community High School Student of the Month, based on academic progress, responsibility, study skills, citizenship, and personal growth.

Kennedi H has been named Community High School Student of the Month for November. Kennedi was a little skeptical about coming to Community High from a big school like Sheyenne, but since coming here, she learned that hard work really pays off.  After graduation, Kennedi plans to attend Concordia College and become a Spanish teacher. Fun fact, Kennedi has two cats, Brie and Ricotta, both born on April 1. The faculty selects each Community High School Student of the Month based on academic progress, responsibility, study skills, citizenship, and personal growth.
